Titus has a multi-disciplinary background in urban engineering from the University of Twente, TU Delft, and Wageningen UR, with experiences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His interest lies in using urban technology to understand cities. Next to his position as a co-founder and current board member for the foundation Young Urban Engineers, he currently works on developing a new lab by the MIT Senseable City Lab and the AMS Institute called the Senseable Amsterdam Lab. In this Lab, they use urban data science to advance Amsterdam's goal to become carbon neutral by utilizing active sensing, computer vision, and AI.
