Having an interdisciplinary background combining physics, social sciences, urban planning and engineering, Diederik understands that societal challenges need more than technological solutions alone. As cities exist of a wide variety of inhabitants (of which humans are only one of many) with different opinions and wishes, all solutions have social implications. Diederik can perfectly bridge the gap between engineers, policymakers and inhabitants as he has understandings of all perspectives.
